Winter Indoor Boat Show and Sale
Dockside Marine Centre is ushering in the boating spirit ahead of spring with its Winter Indoor Boat Show and Sale, set to kick off this Friday December 1st. Dockside Marine Centre, under the new leadership of General Manager Taylor Doll, is extending an open invitation to all enthusiasts to visit our Tow & Stow center at 1040 Stevens Rd. The event is an excellent opportunity to meet the staff and explore the latest advancements in marine vessel technology.
In a support of community solidarity, Dockside has partnered with the Central Okanagan Food Bank for this event. Admission to the boat show is as simple as contributing a non-perishable food item, with the goal of filling one of our fishing boats. Once brimming, Dockside will tow the boat to the food bank’s headquarters.
The Winter Indoor Boat Show is not merely a casual browsing experience; it’s tailored for those contemplating a boat purchase. Doll encourages visitors to take advantage of special incentives and winter deals available during the show. “We’re excited,” Doll expresses. “It’s something that’s new to us and new to the marine industry in West Kelowna, because I can’t say we’ve seen it happen before.”
This comprehensive event invites attendees to step inside and truly experience the boats on display. The indoor setting offers a more intimate and relaxed environment compared to the bustling annual spring boat show on Okanagan Lake. Doll notes, “It’s an opportunity that’s less intimidating than the boat show that’s on the water. It’s a little more intimate. It’s indoors. It’s winter. So people are kind of winding down and relaxing, trying to stay warm. And to be on a boat in our indoor facility is a unique experience in itself.”
Dockside Marine Centre is showcasing the latest models from Chaparral, Harris, and Avalon pontoon boats during the event. This lineup will be on display for approximately a month and a half before making way for a diverse collection of used boats in the new year, ensuring a fresh selection for prospective buyers.
On the opening day of the show December 1st, visitors will receive coupons from Canada Boat Safety, a valuable addition that can be used towards obtaining a pleasure craft boating license. This initiative underscores Dockside’s commitment to promoting responsible and informed boating practices.
The Winter Indoor Boat Show and Sale, coupled with the ongoing food drive in collaboration with the Central Okanagan Food Bank, will continue until December 18. It’s a unique opportunity to engage with the boating community, explore cutting-edge marine technology, and contribute to a charitable cause. We hope to see you there; 1040 Stevens Road in West Kelowna.
